The League for Civil Discourse

In an age of polarization, I founded the League for Civil Discourse as a space for my community to engage in thoughtful civil conversations about topics affecting my generation.

Through the League, I ran the Fall Symposium of Ideas with speakers including Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan, Professor James A. Thurber of American University, Professor Vikram Khanna from the University of Michigan Law School, and Ann Arbor City Councilwoman Linh Song. This symposium focused on important political, cultural, and ideological issues. The large group of students, faculty, and community members present were able to participate and share meaningful dialogue.

The Michigan Student History Seminar Series

I also founded and led the Michigan Student History Seminar Series, focused on “Hidden Turning Points in American History.” The event was open to students across Michigan and beyond, and we had attendees from multiple countries. Over 90 people participated.
